Letter discribing disability harrassment ( Bullying), it's importance and what laws apply.

A reissue of the Memo by The New Hampshire Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education, Extended School Year Services (ESY) (FY’08 Memo #4) with the following clarifications. We have provided the reference for the U.S. Code for IDEA in the body of the memo. In addition, on the last page under Extended School Year Services we have clarified that extended school year services include an extension of specific special education and/or related services beyond the regular school day in addition to the school year.

The purpose of this K-12 Career Development Framework, In accordance with RSA 193-C relative to the New Hampshire Educational Improvement and Assessment Program (NHEIAP), is to: (1) establish high standards for career development; and (2) serve as a guide for making local decisions about curriculum development, delivery, and assessment in this important area.

This resource aids in organizing the information required to create an IEP.

If you have a child who is receiving special education services, you're more than likely to be very involved with your child's school and teachers - including planning, reviewing, and assessing your child's educational program. We hope these "Steps to Success" will be particularly helpful to parents who are new to the special education process.
